As promised, here is a post on what I bought when I went shopping in London yesterday. I tried to refrain from buying too much as I have practically no more clothing storage space. I desperately need to clear out my wardrobe, and will probably add a few more items to my shop as there are so many unworn/never worn items in there. I'll probably do a 'new in' post for my shop in a week or so. Anyway, moving on to my purchases:
Dress: Zara
It looks like quite a plain black dress, but I love the leather detailing, especially around the waist as it is very flattering. It's a versatile dress which can be worn day or night, depending on what you pair it with.
Jumper: Zara
I'd previously wanted to buy this jumper a while ago, but was unsure as to whether to purchase it. Over time, I forgot about it, but when I was in Zara I found it on a rack and fell back in love again. It was reduced to £30 so I couldn't not buy it!
Shoes: Office
I love these shoes, because personally I think they look stylish and practical. The grip is amazing on the bottom, and I love the chunkiness of the sole. I haven't worn them out yet, so I can't comment on the comfort, but I will let you know at a later date as they are sure to feature in an outfit post in the future.
Leggings: Topshop
There was so much indecision involved in purchasing these leggings. Eventually I caved in and bought them, because even though they're not the most versatile leggings, I just adored the glitter and pattern. They're very unique, and paired with a plain black top I reckon I would wear them in the day time, but they can easily be worn for a party too.
All in all, I was very satisfied with all my purchases, although I did originally set out to buy a different pair of shoes and some black denim shorts. It was eerily empty in Selfridges in the morning, but by the afternoon when I went to Topshop and Urban Outfitters there were a considerable amount of people. Generally, it was no where near as busy as I had expected; good for us shoppers, but bad for the businesses I guess. After shopping, I also went to the Valentino exhibition at Somerset House. It was absolutely amazing; highly recommended.
Have any of you bought some new items in the sales? If so, I'd love to hear about your purchases, and any comments on mine. I hope you're all having a wonderful week. Also, let me know if you prefer the pictures being larger like this in my posts :)
Love Lucia x

ReplyDeleteAHH! I almost bought the exact same pair of shoes as you! Picked them up and then decided that I've been spending way too much money that day so only left with my other pair of shoes from office. Great purchases though, I especially love the Zara sweater and Topshop leggings! I'm sure that you'll be able to come up with a great outfit using those leggings, and hopefully, you'll make an outfit post for us to see :)?
